It’s day 1 of open enrollment and was just ready to throw in the towel!!! Until…I'm not even going to sit here and lie to any of y'all...it's November 1st,... read more I'm sitting here eager to get some medical coverage!!!Full disclosure...there was a major clerical error done at my current employer where I was only enrolled in dental and vision insurance...the only way for me to get properly enrolled with medical insurance...was to quit and go back!!! There was absolutely no way I was going to go through the hiring process all over again!!!I had already started looking into the marketplace for a little over three weeks...after staying up long hours going down the rabbit holes of potential medical insurance providers...I stumbled upon several companies...Buchanans being one of them...I had just finished speaking to three other companies back to back...when I tell you I was over it with talking to people who were pretty much stone cold robots who couldn't shoot me straight answers...I didn't even care that I didn't even have health insurance anymore. I was extremely skeptical…I had already given up hope...but something told me to just make that last call!!!I MADE THE CALL…I didn't even let the young lady whom I now know is Vanessa, introduce herself on the phone!!! I just jumped straight into the conversation...I truly didn't want to waste my time all over again…or whomever's time I was going to be dealing with. I'm not sure if she could tell that I was over it...or she could just hear the frustration in my voice...She was cool as cool can be...which put me at ease right away!!! She simply asked me a couple of questions...I answered every question to the best of my knowledge and BOOM!!! Vanessa already had the ball rolling and explaining all the policy coverages that had come up for me to choose from...when I tell you the way she broke things down for me to fully comprehend was as easy as A-B-C & 1-2-3.The best part of the entire conversation was that it never really felt contractual!!! I honestly felt as though Vanessa and I had been long time friends...and she was just looking out for me to get the best possible coverage that I needed!!! I live in the Houston Metro Area...I'm not sure why google searches took me all the way to San Antonio...But let me tell you...I'm sure as hell glad it did!!!Not only do I now understand what it is I'm paying for...I'm extremely grateful that Vanessa was patient with me on the phone every step of the way!!!If you or someone you know is in the market looking for coverage...I STRONGLY RECOMMEND YOU GIVE VANESSA A CALL!!! ASAP!!! This young lady was the absolute sweetest in taking her time with me!!! Keep up the great work chica!!!
